Construction 95: Tanka Spheres (#19 "Northerner's World") These works are an attempt to integrate image and formal poem into a coherent work. Both halves of all the work are in a standard and consistent form. The images are all spheres (or little worlds) and the poems are all tankas (strictly adhering to the traditional syllabic structure). These works also comprise the body of a book entitled Embracing The Moon, which includes introductory essays on the tanka form and these specific attempts to integrate it with visual art, as well as detailed notes on each tanka.
