An Eclectic Retrospect
by Daniel R. Elzinga

Over the past 15 years I have maintained a open mind about the types of art I have made. I enjoy the excitement of exploration as much as mastery of a subject, (skill). Having never felt given over to using any particular medium or media, I revel in an ability to always have something new to experience with the tools I use. This is the very first Retrospect on my "STYLE". I have arranged the works in cronological order. The first group are from my early period, and consist mainly of landscape paintings and pen and inks completed between 1978 and 1983. The second group are from my years in University, 1983 to 1989 and are primarily abstract. The last group are pieces completed since then and are sureal and sculptural in form. Enjoy them, and please feel free to copy the images. If you manipulate and alter them sufficiently enough, call them your own! : )
